Interstate Advanced Materials is seeking a full-time CNC Machine Operator at our Des Moines, Iowa facility. Summary:
This role requires strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing clean, precise cuts and is committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a positive attitude and work well within a team environment

• Setup and operate CNC saws to cut materials according to job specs

• Read and interpret work orders, cut lists, and blueprints

• Measure and verify materials before and after cutting

• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment

• Assist with material handling and staging as needed

• Use measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure product accuracy

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating CNC saws or similar machinery

• Experience with hand tools, routers, and general warehouse equipment

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings

• Confident in using measuring tools such as tape & calipers

• Good communication skills and a team-player mindset

• Strong basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

• Forklift experience
